We are currently looking for a well organized Data Entry Clerk to help in typing information into our company database from paper documents. This position will be responsible for updating reports and assisting with simple ad hoc requests regarding project files and data and also will be verifying and matching documents and items for our company. The ideal candidate for this role should be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. As well as having an excellent understanding of data confidentiality principles.
Job Responsibilities And Duties Are:
*Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners.
*Typing in data provided directly from customers.
*Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
*Verifying data by comparing it to source documents.
*Updating of existing databases for our company.
*Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.
*Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation.
*Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
Job Experiences And Skills Required Are:
*High school degree or equivalent.
*Proven experience as a data entry clerk.
*Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing systems is strongly preferred.
*Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
*Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
*Basic understanding of databases.
*Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
*Great attention to detail.
