Hiring a Bookkeeper for Contract position

Do you like numbers? Do excel spreadsheets bring you to your happy place? 

We are a small, growing educational company looking to hire a bookkeeper who is detail oriented, is able to problem solve, and a self-starter. 

As a contract team member, you will be working on your own time to complete your tasks and reporting directly to the CEO.

Specific Job Duties will include: 

+Documenting all transactions
+Putting together financial reports on a weekly basis
+Checking accounting data
+Reconciling accounting discrepancies
+Notifying senior staff of any accounting errors
+Cashing checks (from an online mail system)
+Determining which participants still need to pay their fees. 
+Creating lead reports
+Tracking profit and loss data 

All of our team members are expected to:

+Attend meetings as necessary to complete the work. 
+Communicate via email and slack within 24 hours or 4 working hours, whichever comes first (except weekends and holidays). 
+Track tasks in our project management system, Asana

If you have experience or are willing to quickly learn the following software systems, you might be a good fit: 

+Google Drive
+Google Spreadsheets
