Engages in all day-to-day proofreading requirements for multi-media advertising communication, including hands-on involvement to meet or exceed client expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides hands-on proofreading expertise in reviewing communications pieces, including direct mail, email, web pages, online ads, print ads, collateral, and other material.
Marks errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation according to clients’ preferences or The Chicago Manual of Style.
Utilizes track changes and comments in Microsoft Word and comments in Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and PowerPoint to suggest edits.
Compares proof to original copy request to ensure changes were made correctly and no errors were introduced.
Checks data files against proofs to ensure all data is pulling in correctly.
Keeps the big picture in mind when reviewing a piece for content.
2. Develops strong relationships with the Production and Agency Teams.
Works closely with Agency Services and Account Services to foster a team environment and to introduce beneficial processes and changes to benefit our overall client offering.
3. Ensures that all aspects of the department’s internal and external customer service and response levels are maintained in accordance with client requirements.
Tracks all incoming proofreading requests on the Intranet and by email.
Monitors all emails and, when necessary, responds in a timely manner.
Maintains time records for job tracking and billing purposes.
Monitors deadlines and maintains open communication with internal customers on the status of pending projects.
4. Follows all SOPs and completely reviews job instructions to ensure the highest level of quality on all client work.
Meets or exceeds client expectations.
Makes zero external errors.
Provides input to Management regarding process improvements.
5. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
