Bookkeeper can be responsible for a variety of activities including:
Balancing accounts (also known as ‘double book keeping’)
Dealing with basic book keeping
Processing and paying sales & purchase invoices
Recording receipts and payments
Preparing and checking ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts
Completing and submitting VAT returns and PAYE & NIC P32 submissions.
Handling company expenses and payroll systems
Using computerised accounting systems.
Reconciling company bank statements
Preparing cash flow statements
