Come join our team as an HR Coordinator if you are a people-oriented detail-oriented champion willing to handle a variety of assignments and work in a fast-paced atmosphere! You’ll be in charge of revising and recommending new corporate policies to ensure legal compliance and the development of a competitive environment that attracts and retains top personnel. You’ll work with our Director of People and Strategy to strengthen the existing foundational structure, uncover new opportunities, and lead the charge in its end-to-end implementation, from concept to execution.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with the development and implementation of the company’s first HRIS system, as well as future maintenance and administration of employee onboarding and termination.
– Conduct research, develop, and implement a variety of new company-wide policies and initiatives, such as career roadmaps, professional development, and diversity and inclusion.
– Keep up with the ever-changing legislation around employment laws to ensure that all firm practices are legal.
– Manage bi-monthly payroll across two payroll platforms, doing frequent system audits to ensure that all employees are paid on time.
Requirements:
– HR assistant experience of 1-2 years is ideal.
– A bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
– Experience working in a tough setting through an internship, co-op, or summer job.
– Participation in extracurricular activities during your undergraduate studies.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
– Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
– Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced startup environment.
– Ability to work independently and as a team player.
– Friendly, extroverted, and enjoy talking to employees of all backgrounds.
