Generalist VA/ HR Specialist for OBM business

Are you organised, reliable and have a can-do attitude?

I am looking for my sidekick for my OBM and consulting business! I am growing and I need to bring on a generalist VA/ HR specialist who can take on a bunch of tasks from general VA duties, to HR and light project management. I REALLY need someone who clearly listens to instructions, takes notes and can hit the ground running. Ideally you are located in the Americas (I am based in Mexico).

You are an EXPERIENCED VA who ‘gets it’. You understand the remote work environment, are confident in your abilities, and have a few years working remotely with small businesses. In addition you are pretty well versed in recruitment and understand the process to hire for a variety of roles (in office and remote). I am looking for both a VA generalist and someone who knows HR, please do not apply if you do not meet this criteria.

On any single day, you might do these types of tasks:

– Help me put together SOP’s as well as systems and processes for my business as well as my clients
– Help me put together client proposals
– Help me create documents for strategy sessions, HR and freebies (in Canva)
– General administrative tasks (research, updating Word or G docs, proofreading etc)
– Send out monthly billing using toggle and Wave software
– Write basic copy for social posts and blogs (focused on my products & services so some info is already there to use and adapt).
– Help me kick start a quarterly newsletter
– Create branded social templates in Canva, then add and schedule posts in Later.com
Other random tasks as they come up

HR specific:

Writing job descriptions
– Posting job descriptions on various sites (Upwork, Indeed etc)
– Researching potential candidates on LinkedIn and reaching out to them to see if they would be interested in the position (even if they are already employed)
– Reviewing resumes and cover letters and presenting me with the best candidates
– Organizing resumes and applications and updating spreadsheets with candidates info
– Setting up interviews and/ or depending on experience helping to conduct prelim interviews
– Helping to get references

Flexible Location & Hours
This is a part-time role and has room to potentially become full-time as I’m looking for a loyal member of my team that can take things off my plate
Right now, there is a level of flexibility in hours. I will need to collaborate during day time hours (I am on CST), but also happy for you to work whatever hours are best for you
The flexibility of hours might change as the role grows so if you know you are unable to commit to a more solid working hour structure (but still flexible) in the future, this role is not for you. I want someone to grow into the role with me for longevity.
