Job Description Summary
Blue Zones, a national well-being transformations company, has an opening for a Business Development Assistant to support all divisions, including Blue Zones Brands, Blue Zones Transformations, Thrive, and Policy Services, in our Minneapolis office or remote work. This opportunity will provide exposure to the fast-growing industry of transformational well-being which will be the future of healthcare, policy-making, and real estate. Blue Zones will not only give this role exposure to the science and business of well-being but will coach the team member to grow into a business development executive.

Responsibilities include lead generation and appointment setting through direct outreach campaigns (emailing video primers to prospects), client project management (strategy and event planning) general administrative support (confidential reports, correspondence, database management, expense reports) and partnering with Vice Presidents on other assigned tasks in support of business development activities. The candidate must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to learn fast and become a self-starter is essential. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Salesforce and PowerPoint experience is a plus.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is to own the lead generation campaign to develop the pipeline of leads for business development utilizing a proven business development process – primarily via cold emailing.

• Assist with all aspects of appointment setting with prospects, join and support meetings, and coordinate appropriate follow up to nurture leads through business development process

• Assist with updating deals in tracking database

• Maintain confidential department records and office files in accordance with internal company procedures

• Update and maintain client database (Salesforce)

• Perform special projects as required

• Provide backup coverage for business development team, when necessary
