Our office seeks an EHR Data Entry Clerk to enter payments, adjustments and denial transactions received via Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or electronic payment files. In this role, dollar amounts reflected on EOB’s and/or ERA’s are to be input as well as records of account standings into our electronic record keeping software (Office Ally) and into an Excel spreadsheet.

This is a contract position. We have past, present and ongoing data to be posted. The project milestone deliverable is 1 month of accurate and complete posted data per $800 payment. At a moderate pace working 40 hours per week, an experienced worker can post 1 month of data in 2 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Input payments received and balances owed
Input data from EOB’s and ERA’s (Electronic Remittance Advices) into Office Ally and
Microsoft Excel
Update patient records with new payments, balances, information, etc.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered
Access Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA’s)
from insurance companies

QUALIFICATIONS
Familiar with Electronic Health Records – preferably Office Ally
Detail-oriented
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
